Personally I think polyester should be illegal but whatever.
I think with plastic bottles they generally go to the landfall. When you wash your clothes some polyester probably goes in the drain and then when you dry them it goes into the atmosphere and then into the soil or ocean.

It's the cosmetic plastic microbeads that make me worry the most as they are really small and were becoming increasingly prevalent.
