A STEEM VIDEO :- How to make delicious "Dosa"
Today, I made dosa at the children's request. It's a South Indian dish, and we usually have all the ingredients at home. It doesn't require much preparation. For the dosa batter, we used:
1 kg rice
150 grams split chickpeas (chana dal)
200 grams black gram lentils (urad dal)
We washed and soaked them thoroughly, then ground them into a paste. I then left it to ferment for two to four hours. For the filling, we made a potato stuffing. We sautéed potatoes, onions, and tomatoes, adding turmeric, chili powder, salt, and other spices. Our dosa was ready, and we ate it with sambar.
We make the sambar with a mix of vegetables like bottle gourd, eggplant, pumpkin, radish, and carrots. We add two handfuls of pigeon peas (toor dal), boil it with salt and turmeric, then add a tomato gravy and temper it with mustard seeds. We also add tamarind pulp, garam masala, and other spices and let it simmer. Our sambar was ready. My children found the dosa and sambar very delicious. It feels great when you fulfill your children's wishes and they are happy.
