A STEEM VIDEO :- How to make Medu Vada
Today, I am sharing the recipe for making MeduVada here. To prepare Medu Vada, we will need:
Large green chilies
Salt
Red chili powder
Boiled potatoes
Gram flour (Besan)
Oil
Onions
Chopped coriander leaves
Step by step
- First, wash the green chilies and make a lengthwise slit down the center of each one. Next, mash the boiled potatoes thoroughly. Add salt, red chili powder, chopped onions, and chopped coriander leaves to the mashed potatoes and mix everything together to form a filling paste.
Now, take the gram flour and add salt and red chili powder to it. Prepare a smooth batter by mixing it with water, and then pour oil into a deep pan or wok for frying. Take the potato filling prepared earlier and stuff it into the slit green chilies. Once the oil is hot, dip the stuffed chilies into the gram flour batter to coat them completely, and then deep-fry them in the hot oil.
Fry them until they turn a golden-brown color and become crispy and crunchy. Our Medu Vada is now ready!
Serve it with green chutney and ketchup.
