A STEEM VIDEO :- The recipe of making Makhana and Dry Fruit Kheer.
Today, I am sharing the recipe for making Makhana and Dry Fruit Kheer. This dish is typically consumed during religious fasts, when the intake of grains is restricted. During such times, we prepare this Kheer using makhana (fox nuts) and various dry fruits. It is quick to prepare, highly nutritious, and beneficial for one's health. The ingredients required to make this dish are as follows:
Milk: 500 grams
Makhana (Fox Nuts): 100 grams
Cashews: 20 grams
Almonds: 20 grams
Raisins: 30 grams
Green Cardamom
Sugar
First, place the milk on the stove to boil. Once the milk comes to a boil, break the makhana into smaller pieces and add them to the pot. Let the makhana boil thoroughly in the milk for about 10 minutes. Next, add the remaining chopped dry fruits and the crushed green cardamom. Continue stirring the mixture with a spoon to prevent the milk from sticking to the bottom of the vessel.
Once the milk has thickened and the makhana has become completely soft—and as a delightful aroma begins to fill the air—add the sugar to the pot. Continue stirring with a spoon for another 5 to 10 minutes. And just like that, our Makhana and Dry Fruit Kheer is ready to be served!
