Friends? You unfriended most!
The headlines of every news said “I have signed the deal.” But what did you really gain? You shouted it out like a victory, but was that a victory?
You bargained for applause and headlines, yet the cost keeps coming due in the quiet hours. You traded trust for transactions, loyalty for selfish interest, and somewhere along the way you let the weight of the deal press down on ordinary lives.
People who relied on stability found themselves rearranging their days, budgeting tighter, worrying more. Families felt the squeeze, workers lost certainty, and communities that once counted on basic decency now count losses.
My crypto wallet is worth just 1/3 compared to what it was 3 months ago.
I thought a signature would prove strength, that boldness would win. Instead I am watching the fragile threads that hold society together looking amused. The worst sufferers are peaceful Gulf countries. You have ruined that area famous for travel.
Power feels hollow when it costs people peace. If leadership means anything, it must include responsibility for consequences and not just the applause.
You signed a paper alright but at what price? You pay the price they paid the price. You must face that truth and ask whether the short-term gain justified the lasting harm. If it did not, then you owe more than explanations.
