Geo-Quest Mystery – Week 5 : Route of Clues
The route begins at J.S. Academy, Pallavpuram, it always does because it is close to my house. But today I was forced to go out so I decided to walk.
By the way, JS Academy is a popular school with it overall study and excellent sports activities, caring teachers, and effective teaching methods that support child development.
The campus offers experiential learning, expert faculty, and a supportive environment and academically, making it a solid local choice.

Actually my wife told me to go out during lunch at about 2.30 so as soon as I finished food, I came out.
Now you see me standing at the gates of J.S Academy in Pallavpuram, the noon sun filtering through trees onto the tiled entrance. You can hear the air hums with sounds of scooters and cars and children's laughter coming out from school.

My first step in as I head straight down the narrow lane fronting the academy, quiet, shaded by overhanging balconies, lined with modest two-story houses in different shades of paint.
First, I pass J.S Academy itself, its sign shining in the cool winter noon breeze, reminding me of forgotten lessons from my school days, an ancient story that we were taught about 1857 rebellion my city saw, hehe but that has nothing to do here.
The smiles of passing students evoke my own school memories. I move forward about 50 meters and take a left turn north. I passed through the well now turned into tube well.
Another 20 meters and a right turn takes me to my favorite Amit Park. I turn right onto the side entry of the park now, exposed under the relentless sun. I can see the shopping area where I was intending to go but I thought I should see if the park has any flies I was looking for although this was not my purpose too.

Amit Park's greenery looms as I slip left through its shaded entrance, onto a walking path flanked by green trees, quiet again, cool breeze rustling leaves. I see no joggers, so no hellos during isolated noon.

The trees at the park, their stems straight like palm trees seems like that headless colonel is still on my mind. I lean in and hear a faint sound, as if his whispers linger, but he is long gone now. So that was my imagination, nothing else.
If benches In Amit Park invite rest amid flowerbeds, as I emerge from Amit Park's northern gate, I turn left onto a straight street, less shaded strolling 25 meters toward DH Market where I saw a few ladies basking under the sun.

I wanted to sit for a while, but my aim was to buy flour for bread, so I continued south past a small temple where a few ladies are visible, just before the stalls the temple reminds me of our mysterious chief minister, dead set against all constructions on the roads. But my attention seizes on a quiet alcove off the path, a small temple shrouded in mystery.
It weaves into my larger Geo-Quest Mystery from the Origin Point at J.S Academy. Although it was nothing to do with my purpose. Weathered stone walls hide old statues, deities of Lord Shiva with enigmatic smiles, eyes that follow you, like guardians of untold rites.
I pause here, the incense smoke curls, even if the temple is closed for noon hinting at rituals held inside. Is this where the gods murmur clues to deeper quests But as usual, I have never gone in before so take a left turn. Also it has nothing to do with my purpose.

Finally, I reach DH Market, a shop selling spices and groceries first, then to my regular Shyam Store. This is my final stop for this short journey. I asked the lady but she said my favorite flour brand was not available. I asked the shopkeeper she said it was out of stock. I asked when to expect, she told me, "In the evening perhaps." I told her that I will come back.
I have walked around 500 meters up to this point. I headed back towards home via JS academy and walked past the tube well, as I said, there's an ancient well here, now a tube well that pumps water to the main storage tank for my locality.

While walking back I heard its watery echoes, Amit Park's greens, and the temple's shadowy history, binding sounds of hidden chants, colors of faded idols, and paths to unraveling the quest's veiled heart. Finally, I started back without flour, heading towards my home.

Now for the Geo-Quest Mystery puzzle, I was wondering if you have any idea about what was my ultimate goal for this outing or why I did this trip? Was it to go to the park for a stroll or was it the story we learned in our school. Was this trip a religious one? I asked this question from shopkeeper in local language but no luck. Tell me where did I go and what for!!!
Maybe I wanted to hear the laughing children after school was over? But you're the best judge!
