CineAtlas 60 | Week 4 - Object as Character | [College of Education Akwanga]
For this week's challenge which is about an object, a man-made object is what I have chosen to share with my audience.
The statue is the object that I have chosen for this challenge. While walking in a school premises I came across this statue that was created a long time ago in honor of someone who contributed to the progress of the institution in the state.
My reason for selecting this statue is that it's well positioned in an environment that is not only surrounded by trees but I chose it to also promote education and for the story and history that I heard about the statue.
It is in remembrance of someone who fought for the progress of education in his time, and today he is remembered, and I feel like sharing about it so people can be encouraged to promote good things wherever they find themselves to be remembered for their good things.
The location perfectly fits the statue as it is situated inside a school's premises at a roundabout where it can easily be seen. Also, it fits the location because the place is very calm and anyone who enters the school can easily see and reflect on the statue. Looking at the natural surroundings of the statue makes it look more attractive.
If you look through the video very well, you will notice that the feeling of respect and reflection is what I wanted to express in the video. The statue is situated at the heart (center) of the school environment, to remind people of the past and the value, efforts, and sacrifices that shaped education. In summary of this, I wanted to express the story of honour and remembrance.
In making the object feel like a character, I began by capturing the statue from an angle that shows it standing tall among the trees surrounding it. The sunlight shining from the leaves gives the status dramatic and heroic presence. Even though the statue can't move, I walked closer to it and I saw how the lizard was giving honour to the statue which I didn't chase away.

I really enjoyed reading about your object of focus. The statue of impact I’d like to call it. Situated right where it belongs at the middle of serenity and center of focus reminding us to make impact in our own spher and where ever we are cos we will be remembered for the impact and legacy we left behind.
I was looking forward to capturing it full facial details. Would have been beautiful if the photo shots were taken from an angle that gives more details and lighting effects. Thanks for sharing this beautiful piece. I like it

Thanks for your support. The reflection of the sunlight couldn't allow me to do that which I had to start from afar.
Congratulations, your comment has been upvoted by the Steemcurator03 team. Keep up the valuable comments.
