Students practice traditional Acehnese dance

This is a training session for students at Dewantara 10th Elementary School, led directly by their dance teacher. The students practiced this internationally renowned traditional Acehnese dance. This activity was part of an out-of-class learning program to encourage students who were still traumatized by the events of November 26, 2025, when their homes were completely submerged, including their schools. This dance has become a global phenomenon, and it is now studied and taught not only to Indonesian students but also to people around the world, especially to students who enjoy this dance.

This traditional Acehnese dance is very distinctive, characterized by its rapid, simultaneous hand movements. These movements convey a very interesting meaning. The students practicing this dance are fifth-grade elementary school students.
