RE: The VAR technology at the 2018 FIFA World Cup : Let the cameras decide.
For me it looks like a natural step in modernizing and improving sports in general.
In football there are always controversial decisions and people are always fighting because of them, and this will surely decrease all that negativity surrounding football.
it also provides a platform for biased decisions as every referee has to see every situation from his own perspective and reasoning
Biased decisions will be reduced because now referees will be able to check and recheck every difficult decision there might be, unlike before, when he just had the opportunity to see the action one time, and take a fast decision based on what he saw in real time.
So far, taking into account this is new technology it is turning out to be great for the general health of the tournament. It is better to take a few seconds and confirm a decision is well done, than to take a fast but erroneous decisions that could have an impact in the end result.
Cheers @joelagbo!
I agree too, but I still think the bias in decision still holds, a total of five professional referees involved in taking one decision will surely give room for bias.
Thanks for reading through.
