Welcome to the 31st episode of the STEMng digest series where we bring to you some of the best posts under the #stemng tag in the past week.


For those that do not know yet, STEMng is a sub-community of steemSTEM, a community-driven project which seeks to promote well-written and informative Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics posts by Nigerians on Steemit. The project involves submitting quality STEM-related posts to the steemSTEM management for upvoting and resteeming where applicable.

As we usually do, we have sifted through the STEMng tag and even though there were several good posts to choose from, below are the posts that stood out for week 31.


Saturday: Post-micturition Convulsion Syndrome

If you are a male and shudders/convulse a bit after urinating, this post is for you. @florae reviewed post micturition convulsion syndrome as it is scientifically called. The available school of thoughts/theories concerning the phenomenon was well discussed.


Sunday: Graphene: A LightScribe Graphene-(LSG)-produced Supercapacitor paving the way for future Portable Electronics

With the shortcomings of conductors for electricity generation comes a graphene-based solution. @emperohassy in this post elucidated on the potentials of graphene in the production of superconductors that have virtually no resistance to electricity production. A good read for tech minded folks


Monday: ever wondered what goes on behind the scene when you make use of a photocopier

As important as photocopying machines are to the present world, very few people actually understands its working principles and what goes on behind the scenes during the process of photocopying. If you are one of those folks, @steematlas made this post for you.


Tuesday: Meet our frenemies

Microorganisms in form of bacteria et al are mostly known for their pathogenic activities on we humans. However, they are as important in maintaining good health in us, hence, @bokoons decided to call them 'frenemies'. Learn more aboth these frenemies in this post.




Wednesday: Moving From Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) To Brain-To-Brain Interface (BBI) - Human Telepathy; The Future Way Of Communication

@samminator features this week with his post on mind to mind communication, a process known as telepathy. The technological research to make the process the future of communication was also essentially discussed. A good read for everyone.


Thursday : HOMECOMING: ROCK BOTTOM AND HILLBILLY

It's been a while she last featured but @funmiakinpelu entered this week with a bang. The post was made based on the lesson she learnt about rocks during her recent journey to the Northern side of Nigeria. An enjoyable read as usual.




Friday: Engineering Slut || How Bernoulli's equations could solve engineering problems

Debuting in STEMng digest this week is a female engineer, @kafilat. The focus of her post was on how the flow rate equation, otherwise known as Bernoulli's equation could be used to solve some major engineering problems. You might wanna find out by having a read.
