Greetings friends of Story On Steem, it's a pleasure to share with you all, and on this occasion, I'm submitting my entry for the challenge from my friend @sohanurrahman called Nostalgia Of The Little Me: Games we used to play.

This is me as a child, one of the few photos I have left.

More than four decades ago, life was lived differently. There were no screens or digital clocks to mark the passage of time; we were guided by the position of the sun or our mothers' shouts announcing that dinner was ready. Back then, more than 45 years ago, childhood was a free territory where playing wasn't a pastime, but our one and only sacred obligation.

Playing was the language with which we discovered the world. It allowed us to dream, to fall down and learn to get back up, and to understand that magic wasn't found in expensive toys. In those days, waking up was a celebration; I would wake up happy just thinking that it would be a new day to play, with the excitement of someone who has the greatest treasure in the world waiting around the corner.

Well, like every child, I was very curious, and I played everything. I remember that playing marbles at school with my classmates was the best. In my country, they are called Metras, and stealing the marbles from the other children was the best.

I played with toy cars, spun tops, flew kites, rode bicycles, played hide-and-seek, in short, my childhood was something very beautiful, thanks to my parents and especially to the era in which I was born, I had a happy childhood.

Name of the childhood game, where and with whom did you used to play it? Why was this game special to you? Any funny, emotional, or memorable incidents related to the game.

If I had to mention one special game, or the game I played the most, or the game I remember the most, I would have to say that game was playing Baseball.

For me, baseball wasn't just a sport; it was a passion that filled my heart. We didn't have professional leather gloves or brand-name bats, because we couldn't afford them, but we had plenty of ingenuity.
Our balls were works of art made with paper and lots of tape, and our most prized bat was usually a broom handle that was no longer useful.

With those humble implements, any dirt street became the most imposing stadium. I remember the adrenaline rush of running the bases and the pure joy I felt with every play. I played baseball with my dad, my neighbors, and my schoolmates; wherever I was, I liked to play baseball.

This game became completely important to me, and that passion shaped my destiny in such a way that my adult life became an extension of those fields: I became a sports coach, dedicating years to teaching others what once made me so happy.

Life lessons or values learned from playing those games.

Today, after so many wins and losses, I understand that baseball gave me much more than physical skills. The greatest lesson it taught me, and the one I always tried to impart to my students, is that in baseball, as in life, no one wins alone. This sport taught me the value of teamwork and resilience. It taught me that even if you miss a turn at bat, there will always be another opportunity in the next inning. But above all, it taught me that true wealth lies not in the equipment you have, but in the heart and dedication you put into every play until the final out.

Greetings,

Thank you so much for participating in the contest.

A few images have been used previously. You could share fewer pictures rather than the ones you previously shared.

Here is the link, you used an image 3years ago https://steemit.com/steem-venezuela/@adriancabrera/sec-s10w5-mi-lugar-favorito

I have no option, this post has been disqualified.

Hi @sohanurrahman

I'm so sorry I used an image I'd already used. I didn't know it was prohibited. I didn't see any problem with it, since they're my own images and they tell my story.

But I understand, it's your challenge and your rules. I hope to do better next time. I'm sorry.
