BADMINTON & FEATHER

Name of the childhood game(s)

We spent the happiest moments of our lives in childhood. Every person will not be able to forget their childhood sports. In my life, I played many types of games in my childhood, but among them, I still miss the moments of playing with my friends and small children. We played different types of games in our childhood. I lived in the village, so I was good at all types of games. These include badminton, cricket, football, Hadudu, Chor Police, etc.

As a child, I had no work, so I used to run around all day and play with children because I was a child myself. But among these games, my favorite game is badminton. As a child, I did not understand the rules of badminton, but when I tried to play badminton with everyone, I was very happy. I also wanted to have an extra bat of my own. I used to play badminton with my cousin & friends constantly near our house.

Where and with whom you used to play

To play badminton, you need to gather four players. Then a full game can be played, but if you wish, you can play a single match with two. Since this game does not require many players, we always played badminton with our children in serials. To play badminton, we would determine a specific place where we would first make a court by marking it.

Although we did not know the adequate size at that time, we would mark it according to our needs. Then we would collect a net for playing badminton. If we did not get a net, we would make a net with yarn, rope or cloth. I always played this game in our yard or in the open space next to the house. Most of the time, I played it with my cousins ​​and friends because they were my playing partners.

Why this game was special to you

I like several games, among which cricket, football and badminton are some. I used to arrange many bats and put flowers in the middle. I still take pictures of them. Although cricket and football require a sufficient number of players, it was difficult to get a chance there. However, to play badminton, you could play with any bat and feather. In the past, bats and feathers were a little stronger, so you could play for a long time.

The feather in badminton is called the flower of a bird's feather. When the bat was hit on the flower from the other side, that feather would fly to me like a bird. Then I would hit it again from this end. That moment was my favorite. We played according to certain points, so when we could win this game, I would jump with joy. That is why this badminton game was the most special game for me.

Besides, I would take the feather in my hand and look at it from all sides and try to understand why when I hit it, it slowly rises up and then comes down and returns to its previous position. Nowadays, different types of feathers are made, but in the old days, feathers were made from white boiler chicken feathers.

Those days were special. Although the price of these feathers and badminton bats was low then, the joy was endless. I would just look at the feather on the bat and think that it is a very beautiful game. Yesterday too, I played badminton with some younger nephews near my house and captured some moments of the game on video.

Any funny, emotional, or memorable incident related to the game

Actually, it is such a game. There was always laughter or challenges in this game. As a child, I lost many times in this badminton game with my friends, I have no regrets about it. Because there is a win in the game. I always tried to challenge my friends and play, so I was able to give some messages and lose in some matches.

I remember when I was playing with my younger brother's badminton bat, someone hit a feather from the other side and when I was going to hit it from this side in a hurry, the bat suddenly broke. Then my younger brother cried and I consoled him that I will repair this bat for you. It was a very funny moment. But yesterday when I was playing, I saw that my younger brother was not able to play, then he was throwing the bat up, haha.

I would also like to share another funny incident with you from yesterday. Yesterday, when my younger brother and nephew were playing a singles match, an unexpected funny incident happened. My younger brother hit the feather from the right side and my nephew hit it from the other side to receive it.

However, due to the wind, my nephew hit it far but unfortunately the feather returned to its border. We laughed a lot seeing this. Also, my younger brother was not able to receive the feather, this was also a very funny moment, the gif video of which is given below.

Life lessons or values learned from playing those games

Sports are an important part of our lives. Every sport has a deep connection with our childhood and reality. Maybe we have grown up now but we cannot play sports like that now. But we all were involved in some sport in our childhood and used to play that sport constantly. When our parents used to discipline us for spending too much time in sports, this moment was teachable for us. Because there is a specific time for sports. All the parents say Play when playing, study when studying.

But if we think about our childhood, now we can realize that that time was a golden time for us. Even if we try hard, we will not be able to return to the place where we spent our childhood sports. When we were young, we had many friends with us, their hearts were very soft and tender. From there till today, some friends have remained and many have left. But reality has taught us that sports are an important part of our life from which friendships are made and friendships are destroyed. I have made many friends in this game of badminton and have been able to learn a lot. It was memorable as we created a kind of puzzle by arranging bats from each company.

Finally, I would say that this is a wonderful competition. In which we were able to reminisce about our childhood sports and express our feelings and present those games. Maybe we will not be able to go back to our childhood even if we try, but we can play this game with our loved ones and remember our childhood memories.
