Steemit has become part of my life as I slowly waving goodbye to Facebook (Part 1)

First of all, I would like to let you all know that it has been 43 awesome days I have spent in Steemit and all of the sudden writing became part of my daily life. Unlike some Malaysian Steemians, I discovered about Steemit when I was exploring the website to see if I can afford to invest in any promising Cryptocurrencies since I don't afford to buy Bitcoin and that is when I stumbled upon SBD Dollars in Coingecko from a list of almost 1000 cryptocurrencies in the market. I feel intrigued when I see cryptocurrencies produced from a social media platform called Steemit. I start to explore about Steemit and I read every line item in the FAQ to comprehend about this platform. Then, I decided to sign up to Steemit on 27 November 2017 with an idea that I can post like I am doing on Facebook but I can get paid a lot because I was stalking @bitrocker2020 and @maverickfoo post before I signed up. During that time Steem Dollar was about RM 6.87 or USD 1.67. At the same time, I was searching in Facebook if there is any group that talks about Steemit like Bitcoin group or Ethereum group and luckily I found Team Malaysia Facebook group and again I saw @bitrocker2020 again as Admin. I thought to myself that this guy must be a master or sifu some sort since he gets a lot of money posting anything in Steemit which mean he is doing something right!!! Or in another word, I found a testimonial or success story without anyone to convince or beg me to join this platform.

The next day, I wrote an introduction post about myself and earned about 3.17 SBD. The first post was a little bit generic and I don't really put much effort as I was in high excitement and I just want to start right away. My challenge started on the next day because I was jammed and I could not write anything and it continued for few days. This is the part that struck me when I realised Steemit is no facebook or twitter where you can just dump anything from your brain to the platform. I start to write about football and whatever things that I feel to write. This is the turning point of my thought process when I constantly think about what to write in Steemit. Throughout my 29 years of life, I NEVER EVER think about what to WRITE!!! I think about a lot of things but writing is not one of them. I begin to experiment and write about things that I am working on or I think I want to share with people even my ranting on why Arsenal keeps on losing and not winning.

The more I write the more I feel I need help. That is when I found out about 100 degrees by Steemitupclub organised by @maverickfoo and @bitrocker2020 on 7th December 2017. I attended and listened to @maverickfoo talk but I realised the talk is directed to convincing and drive in registration for people that want to know what is steemit all about. I feel I needed more than that. What I needed was information on how to produce content that can attract upvotes from more steemians. Having said that, I do appreciate the effort by both of them in term of outreaching to more Malaysian to join Steemit. During that talk, I clearly remembered @bitrocker2020 said the price of SBD became 6 USD and I brought that little piece of information as my motivation. I went home and I was thinking of Plan B, and I found my plan B on that very night. What is plan B and how it helped me I will tell you guys in my next post tomorrow.
