Catherine just stared at the beautiful woman seated across her, she looked pregnant, and Catherine became angry… Why did this woman who's her so called mother leave her for her father in the first place? Why didn't she ever visit? So she was even dead... All this thought went through her little mind, she looked at her father, and her face was bowed down, like he was scared to face the beautiful woman seated across him... Catherine wondered why...!!

Chinedu stared at ITOHAN, she was still so beautiful, but she looked bigger, fatter, and pregnant, Chinedu looking at her, just kept wondering what he was thinking when he gambled his love for her over stupidity, like he had done all those years till now he regretted his actions, he wished time would go back and he undo what he had done, but life wasn't made that way... Staring at her, he could see she was crying, and looking at her daughter... Chinedu felt pain… He was a failure, he said to himself...!!

ITOHAN sat there looking at her daughter, her beloved very beautiful light skinned daughter, she now looked so different, she didn't look well fed at all, she looked darker, an unkempt and for the hundredth time since she walked into that house, she regretted making the decision of coming to drop her with Chinedu, staring at Catherine, ITOHAN felt tears dripping on her cheeks, looking at the 10 year old looking at her with a silent steady gaze..!!

Her gaze was strong, ITOHAN smiled within her... She turned he eyes to Chinedu and she hated him, how could he allow their only daughter to look this way, and looking at the room, she saw it was the same as she left it... And it hit her that Chinedu was into gambling, and debt, she looked at him, he looked almost the same, added a few pounds, but still same... ITOHAN now wondered again, why she loved this man so deeply... Why she didn't see him for who he was, a self-centered, selfish man... Well it was all past... She was married now... And she was back to take her daughter...!!
