Catherine liked her new school, she made friends too, everyone in her class was fascinated about where she came from, as usual she became her playful self and went back to being in the top of her class, and a darling to her teachers... She was liked by mostly all, she came across, but her home front wasn't that good…Her father lost his job and basically just gambled all his day and time away, his girlfriend who finally moved in with him, didn't like her... She gave Catherine a cold shoulder, so cold Catherine became scared, but Catherine was determined to be at peace with her, she wanted to be part of the unborn baby who was going to come anytime soon...!!

So Catherine just swallowed everything the lady did to her, without involving her dad... She could see her dad struggling to make ends meet, and also trying to make her forget her past.... Catherine still had her nightmares but now she was not so scared...!!

At home Catherine was withdrawn but in school she was free, played a lot, so much her teachers wondered how she had managed to maintain her top position in class, but every day the situation with her father's live in girlfriend was becoming worst, it was like the lady say Catherine as a threat, she didn't want her around at all.. Catherine decided to bring it to her father's notice, but like everything these days, he simply shrugged it off and told her to bear whatever it is for him, at least till the baby was born. So Catherine bore it all... The beatings, the insults, and the mental abuse…Catherine bore it all... For her father she did....!!

Chinedu was over the moon, his girlfriend just gave birth to his first son, he sold off some things to bring back his family home, he was so overjoyed... He felt like a complete man now, he was going to do anything to float his son, which is his heir... His own heir…Chinedu smiled, at least someone now to carry his name forward...With a spring to his feet…He jogged off...!!
