BOY AND HIS PARROT

Raj was a lonely boy who lived in a small apartment with his grandmother. He had no friends, no hobbies, no fun. He spent his days studying, doing chores, and watching TV. He felt bored, sad, and hopeless.

One day, his grandmother brought home a surprise for him. She had bought a parrot from a pet shop, and she gave it to Raj. She said, "This is for you, my dear. I thought you could use some company. This is a special parrot, and he can talk. His name is Ravi, and he is very smart. I hope you will like him, and he will like you."

Raj was surprised by the gift. He had never had a pet before, and he didn't know much about parrots. He looked at Ravi, and he saw a colorful bird. He had green feathers, a red beak, and yellow eyes. He looked at Raj, and he said, "Hello, Raj. I'm Ravi, and I'm your parrot. Nice to meet you."

Raj was amazed by Ravi. He thought, "This is incredible. This parrot can talk. He can say my name, and he can say his name. He can greet me, and he can be polite. He is a special parrot, and he is very smart."

He said, "Hello, Ravi. I'm Raj, and I'm your owner. Nice to meet you too."

Ravi said, "Owner? No, no, no. I'm not your owner. I'm your friend. We are friends, Raj. We are buddies, we are pals, we are mates. We are going to have a lot of fun, Raj. You will see."
