THE STORY OF THE FRIENDS OF THE PROPHET OF THE PROPHETS IN THE MALAYATES

Hanzhalah bin Abu Amir was the son of an Aus tribal leader who was rich in Yastrib (Medina) in the days leading up to the Prophet Mohammad's departure. His father, Abu Amir ibn Shaify, was a very hateful man to Islam. In the days of ignorance, he earned the nickname of Abu Amir the Reverend, but the nickname turned to Abu Amir of the Fasik man when Yastrib was ruled by the Muslims.

Once arrogant Abu Amir said, "If I call my people who have converted to Islam, they will follow me and join the Quraysh."

But just his mouth says his name, "O people of Aus, I am Abu Amir ..", the Aus Muslims who replied, "O wicked men, Allah will not bless you!" They uttered the phrase while launching an attack that led to Abu Amir escape. Now, among the attackers, is his own son, Hanzalah.

Hanzhalah, who had converted to Islam, eventually married Jamilah bint Abdullah bin Ubay bin Salul, the son of his father's best friend. His mother was known as a hypocrite, hiding disbelief and revealing faith. He pretended to defend the Prophet Muhammad in the Battle of Uhud; but when a group of Muslim troops moved into the battlefield, he withdrew with his men, back to Medina.

In the morning, when he heard the call for jihad, Hanzalah took his sword and armor, immediately joined the mother of the Muslim army and went to war. In the battle, he managed to approach Abu Sufyan when his friends flee in fear. Abu Sufyan, in a one-on-one duel, fell from his horse. Her face was pale, frightened.

The glittering Hanzhalah sword is ready to tear open his neck. Within seconds, his life will drift. But, in that precarious situation, Abu Sufyan shouted for help, "O people of Quraish, help me."

Then the Quraysh around him mercilessly swung his sword at Hanzalah, from left, right, and back, so Hanzah fell down. In the already severe condition, blood rushed so swiftly from his body, he was still bombarded with throwing spears from different directions. And finally ... this young man died as a martyr.

Abu Sufyan, the coward, survived the sharpness of the Hanzalah sword.

After the war, Abu Amir and Abu Sufyan circled the field and searched for the data of the fallen Companions of the Prophet. Usually they will wreak his revenge by chopping off the corpses of his enemy. They found the bodies of Kharijah bin Abu Suhair of the Khazraj tribe, the leader of Banu Kahzraj; Abbas bin Ubadah bin Fadhlah; Dzakwan bin Abu Qais, the Yastrib nobleman; and of course Hanzalah.

"My son, why do not you follow my orders not to go to war?" Lamented Abu Amir with a sad tone. "If you obey my command, you will live honorably with the Aus."

To the Quraysh, he urged him not to hack his son's body. But he himself minced the carcass of another person.

The Prophet Muhammad, who was informed of it, then prayed, looked to the heavens, and said to the Companions, "I see angels bathing Hanzalah bin Abu Amir among the heavens and the earth using the water of Muzn (cloudy) taken from silver vessel. "

Then he sent one of his Companions to preach it to Hanzhalah's wife and ask what his husband did before he went to war.

"When he heard the call of war, Hanzalah was in a state of junub and had not had time to take a bath ...," Jamilah said.

Fortunately Hanzhalah, a martyr that has been bathed by angels. He gained a high position in the day of Allah Almighty. That's the best place that not everyone can achieve.

The Prophet said, "Allah Almighty says: There is no reward for My servant who surrenders when I take his beloved thing in the world, but heaven." (Bukhari) image
