RE: The dead man’s hand: A legendary poker story
Stories like this are part of what makes poker more than just a card game. It’s not only about odds or strategy… sometimes it’s the legends around the table that stay with people. The tale of the Dead Man’s Hand — two black aces and two black eights linked to the killing of Wild Bill Hickok in 1876 — is probably the most famous one.
Even today players still talk about it. I enjoy reading little poker stories like this, and sometimes browsing strategy or free-chip guides too, like the ones here: WSOP Fichas gratis. Funny how a simple hand of cards can carry so much history.
