Some of the nicest people I've ever met were in Amsterdam and they have the most realistic drug polices.
They realize that humans are going to do things that they may not condone or approve of regardless of any laws they enact, so why not provide education and the safest means possible for those people to do the things they do. Seems intelligent and reasonable to me.
