When you worship a god you are going to do things that would appease the god. But often some days are not like that. You have to do what is in your karma and you have to be assured of the things that would mean better for your mindset. And that is one way you are going to be more assured of your focus and the whole approach to do the right thing. In that case it makes sense to do the right for your life in general. That is what I have learned so far as well. Do what fixes your karma instead of doing what gods wants sometimes.
