The Battle of Phillaur, which lasted from 7th to 11th September, in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965, is still given the status of the most fatal war in Army history. This was a war in which the Indian Army had introduced immense courage and bravery that destroyed the entire division of Pakistan including the most modern US-made pattern tanks of that time.

On September 11, the war was a historic day when the Indian army's Amard Poona Horse Regiment captured Phillaur near the Sialkot area of ​​Pakistan. In this battle, Lt Col AB Tarapore, commanding officer of the regiment, had shown courage, who had been martyred in the war. He was honored by posthumous posthumous chakra. Today, on September 11, the 45th anniversary of this war is being celebrated in the Amrit division, Patiala, which is under the command of the Karting Corps of the Army. The tribunal celebrations will be organized on the Black Elephant War Memorial in the Division.

The responsibility of grabbing the area of ​​Phillaur near Sialkot Sector was handed over to Lt Col AB Tarapore, Commanding Officer of Poona Horse Regiment, under the first Amard division. On September 7, the regiment was faced with Pakistan's pattern tank division. In a direct fight from the pattern tank being described as the strongest and most dangerous of the US, the Indian Army dumped Pakistan.

Under the leadership of Lieutenant Colonel Abbey Tarabore, the gladiator (target-maker) showed so precise goals that the enemy pattern pattern was ruined. Only nine tanks of Poona Horse were wasted in the war. On the strength of bravery, after the change of the war, on 16 September, Lieutenant Colonel AB Tarapore died on the battlefield. In the Battle of Flilar, five army officers and 64 soldiers were martyred.
