Army Veteran Memorial Park in Chapmanville WV USA
Sharing this Veteran Memorial Park located in Chapmanville West Virginia. There are lots of Veteran Memorial Park all over United State as every State would make their own memorial park in honor of their State people who've been in World War II. But I just wanna share this particular park located near the area where we live.
Veterans are those former members of the Armed Forces of the United States (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard) who served on active duty and was discharged under conditions.
Those people who have served in combat. It is especially applied to those who served for an entire career, usually of 20 years or more. These are the people who have shown bravery in defending their own country or an ally.
Last World War II, American armies have been deployed all over the world in war zones. We probably knew that as they were also made a great impact in the Philippines (our country) to defend it and release it from captivity. I am living in the eastern part of the Philippines (Leyte) where Gen. Mac Arthur made his heroic landing together with his armies and liberate our country from the hands of the Japanese.
In this particular Memorial Park in Chapmanville is made in honor of the Veterans Cpl. Wilfield "Pete" Coney a U.S Army who was killed during the battle in North Korea and Cpl. Robert E. Edmunds a U.S Army killed in Aachen Germany. They are both residents of this town.
Every year of July 15th, the people of Chapmanville do a commemoration in honoring these veterans and some of their citizens who have made an impact on their town and those who are well-known in their town for the things they've achieved.
The States also celebrate Veteran's Day. It means freedom, sacrifice, and honor for those who served in the military. It also means to give thanks to people who served. They are encouraged to be brave and strong-hearted when they meet veterans. It is believed that without Veterans Day, many Americans would forget them and the sacrifices they made.
These Veterans are surely admirable! They've not only made a strong impact in the lives of their own States but also to the lives of many around the world. So, why not give an utmost respect and honor to these people. They are heroes!
