The Wallet That Changed a Life
Ali was a poor college student living in a small room in Lahore. Every day he worked part-time at a small grocery shop to pay for his studies. Life was difficult, but Ali believed that honesty was the most important thing in life.
One evening, while walking home after work, Ali noticed a black wallet lying on the road. When he picked it up and opened it, he was shocked. Inside were several hundred dollars, credit cards, and an ID card belonging to a businessman.
For a moment, Ali thought about his problems. That money could pay his rent, buy books, and help his struggling family. But his conscience spoke louder than his needs.
The next morning, Ali went to the address on the ID card and returned the wallet to its owner. The businessman was surprised and deeply touched by Ali’s honesty. He told Ali that many people would have kept the money.
Instead of just thanking him, the businessman offered Ali a scholarship and a part-time job at his company.
That day, Ali learned something powerful: honesty may seem difficult in the moment, but it can open doors that money never could.
