If there’s one thing you must never lose, it’s your sense of wonder—the exact words of a dear friend who is no longer with us; this has become my daily motto. Every day when I go out to take photos, I ask myself, “What will I discover today?” and I let everything surprise me. This time it was graffiti; I’d never seen most of it before, so I just enjoy it—I don’t judge, I don’t try to explain it, I just observe the art and how it interacts with its surroundings.
