RE: Bangkok Thailand Taxi Trip to Don Muaeng Airport in Heavy Traffic streetphotography
Wow. Its always good to be kind. I understand how that journey was, i have had my own share of such experience in my country. By the way I am planning a trip to Thailand. What are some things that I should see/do while I am there?
Is there any place you would recommend for me to visit as a tourist. :)
Glad you had a safe trip. It surely wasnt easy.
@georgechuks. I would suggest you don't rely much on getting foods from 7/11 because they are just foods for survival, not for enjoying eating. Try to enjoy street foods which are cheap and mostly delicious. If you are afraid of the spiciness, you can ask the cook to reduce it. If you are afraid of the hygiene, then choose from the conditions of the venders or restaurants you see. If you are not sure about the taste, then choose the ones many people line up for it.
I would suggest you as a tourist be ready to spend at least 10USD per day just for normal foods from normal restaurants or street venders. If you eat more fancy stuffs, you might need to triple up this amounts or even need more. Money for accommodation would depend on how you choose, but standard would be 20-50USD/night for cheap to moderately good hotels.
Also don't forget to try as many fruits as possible. Even some of them might look so strange, but all of them are good.
Also be aware that in many touristy places, there always the risk of getting scammed. Search online to read about their tricks before coming here. I think Thailand is quite safe, but it is better to be careful.
I’m not really fond of beach-going holidays, which is something I still like to do once in a while. Due to this, I won’t be very deep in details regarding Thailand’s south, famous for places like Phuket, Pattaya or Samui.
After 4 visits to Thailand I’d strongly recommend to see as much as you can of BANGKOK (Royal Palace, Wat Arun Temple, Yaowarat Chinatown, a cruise around the Chao Phraya, shopping… go to Siam Square) , AYUTTHAYA and SUKHOTHAI (for the ruins of what used to be the capitals of the Thai medieval kingdom), LAMPANG and CHIANG MAI (I love Lanna art and culture, so I’d recommend you to walk around these places seeing as many temples, villas and palaces as you possibly can).
How long will you be coming for and at what time of year? What are your budget and health like?
thanks you @fitinfun, for you vote my post,I can not repay your kindness, sucses for you
