Okay so wheres the marketing tools ??

PART:1)
So i don't know if any of you seen or use what i would refer to as leaders is generally what known for as a branding tool.
First you need to know at least something about who's interest you want. You know little thing like matches used to be big when everybody smoked cigarettes this is just an example the reason i mentioned. Then what small token might be pleasing as example looking to attract smokers back in the day things like a book of matches or a lighter even an ashtray people would keep. Pens were also good i sold so many to the boyscouts pens with a little leather case to hook on your belt with the troop name logo on it and they came back every year for more great marketing tool they would sell them to raise funds for their programs cost was minimal like 60 cents they em sold for 5 bucks.
These days might be something different and i think it has to be tangible you know something you can put in your pocket and every time you see it has the power of persuasion like a memento i use it all the time on the plaza just like my biz cards i used see loads of cards being thrown away two minutes after picking them up or receiving them and for me thats a waste of money and then consequences somebody complains to the plaza complains to the boutiques and thats a problem after that who's gonna clean up the mess hmm... For myself i eventually gave up giving out cards until i changed my approach. Not a secret i thought why were they all just dumping was because they generally had no interest in the products or promotion So for myself i put a twenty dollar bill on one side and hey problem solved nobody threw my cards away as a matter of fact i tested my theory by just throwing a pack of maybe twenty cards on the sidewalk for fun and watch em get picked up by passers by the kids loved it the race was on total success ... Simple things like LEADERS are important tools like flyers,stickers and biz cards old way of doing business these days an ad on google where you see it to two seconds doesn't stay in memory like a physical object you could make a cool embedded chrome enhanced game bizcard costs about 15cents to make these days might have to buy a few but all the big kids would love to have come to life like a hockey maybe with a one time certified value could even be sold at the counter or given away i think would have promotion value for sure. You know you used to get a stick of bubble gum too :)))
just an opinion
@darsico
at least one of the people running the actual company should indeed use their paid time to come up with some stuff (and maybe implement it on the backend)
sometimes ... maybe like one day a week while they're not smoking that crack from sitting on a node ?
:p
curious there's the money guys and then the tech guys but apparently nobody has experience in marketing they have to learn how to Think Big...
part2) seed the intended area with leaders we do this for just a few days
then a media blitz usually the cheap local radio actually costs around 60 dollars for 15 ad 30 sec spots over a day or two at specific times of the day i know most are unfamiliar doesn't matter the local news might even pick up on it then i go in boutique to boutique and meet people on the street propositioning and giving away more coupons n freebees you know 15-20 cents stuff and watch the sites go crazy for a few days but after that the stores get into it and do the work for you at that point that's when even selling page view pays off.
this method works so well i remember one time after the second radio ad my customers boutique had a pretty big line up at the cash 20mins later and a line up out the door, everyone looking for a deal and its fun way to create cash flow. Even the neighbors were watching
