ULOG: Feeling hot, hot, hot!

Summertime is undeniably here, in our side of the world at least: seeing all the facebook posts of friends going on an adventure from one part of the country to the next; and the influx tourists in our place bringing an unusual traffic going to the beach area; and well of course, the intense heat of the sun which makes me want to just stay indoors with the AC on while slurping some halo-halo.

With the intensity of heat, our was said to have as high as 51 degrees heat index, it is a must to keep ourselves hydrated. We are warned about the dangers of heat stroke. It is a real thing as I know of some individuals in our place who have experienced yo be at the brink of having a stroke.

So what should we do?

As I have said, it is a must to keep ourselves hydrated. We are suggested to wear light-colored clothes, and wear sunscreen, even staying indoors. We were refrained from going outdoors from 10am to 3pm as those are the times when the heat is at its peak.

So while summertime spells fun time, we should always keep in mind the dangers it bring. Yet, these dangers could be avoided, if we make the necessary precautions.
