A CHAMELEON SUNSET
This was so cool to see!
Trust me, I know. All sunsets change. Many look very different in only a matter of moments. The size, shape, and colors are always transforming and shifting. Yes, I get that. However, I found this one to be exceptionally impressive.
PHOTOGRAPHIC CREATIVITY
Lately I've been playing around a bit with sunset photography. Some people, like @daveks, seem to do an amazing job all of the time. For me, capturing a sunset in all of its glory and splendor seems a little more elusive. However, I've been having fun and getting creative. I've been playing around with a variety of silhouettes like dormant deciduous trees and stacked rocks, and also with reflections at a nearby lake.
Last night I captured some better shots near the lake that looked "golden!" After some time of taking photos, we left, only to see the sky completely change. We decided to head back and take some shots from the same location to try to show the difference. Because the change was so incredible, I refer to it as "chameleon." See what you think.
BEFORE
Before the sun went down, the sky was an incredible yellow and golden color. The effect of such a bright and beautiful sky upon the surface of the lake was amazing. I was really impressed with it and glad that we had made the trip out.
AFTER
After the sun set the sky first lit up with a vibrant orange color, but it had faded to a striking pink by the time we returned to the lake. With the fierce pink of the sky contrasting the cool blue-gray of the water, a very nice scene was displayed with the dark shoreline and mountain range to break it up.
CLOSER
I've got a few bigger projects that I am working on, but I am going to try to work on my sunset skills. By taking the incredible backdrop that God provides on a nightly basis and having some photos with interesting silhouettes in the foreground, I think that I'll be putting out some better photos in the near future.
If you liked these, stay tune, there is more to come! Be blessed and steem on!
As always, I'm @papa-pepper and here's the proof:

Oh. Great photo. Thanks for your sharing.
I've been staying on the top of a mountain overlooking the Pacific ocean in Mexico all week. They do not make sunsets like this back home in Tennessee.
Nice! Glad to hear that yo can enjoy it? What city are you near. Acapulco is one place I've been down there.
I find myself looking at sunsets and sunrises more and more these days. Either I’m appreciating them more as I look for the little things in life or they seems to be getting more brilliant! Thanks for sharing! They’re beautiful!
Me too, there is something awe-inspiring and marvelous about the whole thing!
@papa-pepper My kids think I’m crazy! “Look at the sky!!!” “I see it mom” “I know but really look at it”! Lmao 😆
What beautiful colors and what beautiful pictures. Dazzling sunset
Upvoted and resteemed, Those are some great shots Pappa. Making me miss the south. It has been cold and snowy around our place with clouds and a lot of grey light. Hopefully we will be posting some cool sunrise and sunset photos if the weather allows. Thanks for all you do.
Oh yeah, that grey, huh? Not so spectacular...
It has some charm in blank and white, but can't compare to the brillant bright skies we have here at times.
Such a glorious golden moment 🙌 Simply beautiful 😁
Wow .. The view of the sunset is very impressive. Susana every second will change. From a golden yellow color to an amazing orange. Extraordinary shots @papa-pepper.
