AMA Lucas Oil Motocross Round 7 Southwick - Injury update
Jason Anderson
After such a strong week worldwide with the signing of two new riders Husqvarna suffer a major blow for the US team...
A crash during practice on Thursday seems to have take its toll on Jason Anderson. He tried to tough it out at this weekends races but after two laps he pulled off the track and decided to withdraw from the event. This is not something a rider like Anderson takes lightly and it must be more serious than first believed.
Jason Anderson said:
"Bummed that I'm not gonna be able to soldier through today, Had a huge crash on Thursday. Luckily it wasn't any worse. Bad part I'm out for today. See yah at Millville!
He currently sits in third place overall in the 450 class and only 25 points from the lead, which shows how serious it must have been for him to sit this one out! Good luck Jason and hope to see you back soon!
Broc Tickle
After such a stfon 2017 #20 Suzuki rider Tickle had was hopefull of a quick return after a nasty crash landed him with a shoulder injury. The rider was taken for an MRI scan this week but it was revealed the damage was worse than they believed...
The factory Suzuki rider was diagnosed with a Hills Sachs Lesion, Posterior Labral Tear, a type 1-2 Superior Labrum Anterior to Posterior Tear and a Posterior Shoulder Dislocation... :o
The good news is that he will not require and surgery but it will sideline him for at least 6 to 8 weeks.
Not the news Team owners Ricky Carmichael and Carey Hart will want to hear as this leaves them with one 450 factory rider left for the season! Albeit a very capable Justin Bogle.
RCH Factory Team Manager Kyle Bentley.
"It’s a tough situation and ended up being more damage to Broc’s shoulder than what anyone originally thought, It really speaks volumes about how tough Broc is, the way he gutted it out last weekend. It’s a shame because he was having a really solid season but we all know that injuries are part of the sport and everyone deals with it from time"
I hope Jason makes a fast recovery! It takes a lot to sit out of a race when you're that close to the top. It says a lot about his character and what kind of person he is, great guy. Hope everyone else has a fast recovery as well. Thanks for the update!
He gets a LOT of flack about his racing style... but shows how much passion he rides with, i agree takes an awful lot to sit out at this point!
To all our heroes get well soon

sad injury keep spirit ^_^
Yes! That is exactly the spirit @jodimungkas :)
Bad luck for Jason. It seems Eli Tomac and Baggett for the title.
Don't forget Musquin! KTM are not out of this race by a long shot, sure he has a knee setback but its a long series :)
Now the game began
you know it @ashim! this is a big blow for anderson!
I dunno about this to much but I like to see anvanture like this it's so cool
Nice one @changfly, nobody likes to see people out injured but they have great support teams.
These crashes sound pretty nasty.
Any idea what Jason Anderson broke or injured?
I hope they all have a quick recovery
I think if it was a lower profile rider they would air the problems. As its a potential series leader and title contender they tend to hold things back. He's a fighter so i expect him back pretty quick.
Got be tough for Jason knowing he was only 25 points out of first place. He drop out of 3rd now that he has to skip this weekend. Hope Jason & Broc both have a speedy recovery !
Yeah its gonna be a tough hit but im sure he will come back fighting :)
That happen's hope for a quick recovery and make a grand comeback
yeah it would have been a tough decision but sometimes you have to take a step back to jump forward :)
