Delicious - tasteless ..?!

On my way home last Sunday, I went to a bakery called Patrick's in Minneapolis. I was told that I should not judge the inside out, but when I saw the signboard and the neighborhood where this bakery was located, I felt somehow failing.

It does not mean that you feel luxurious and gorgeous as a delicious house. There are some houses that are sloppy, but there are some houses that are clean, and there are some houses that are open to the public. Still, there was quite a difference between Patrick's signboards gracefully nestled in the quiet, quiet neighborhoods, and Patrick's signboards nestled in one of the retail centers of Wal-Mart's Pier 1 retail stores. That's why I found Patrick's - I've been to Patisserie 46 a happy bakery last time. Because of the review of Yelp! For this bakery, there was a review called "Macarons are better at the Patrick's". How tasty is it? I was curious to know that it was really delicious. Yelp! Has become very much more critical than Urbanspoon or other online reviews, and I am more and more curious because I know that it is a more reliable review site for people who are quite savvy. Now, let's compare it again with a photograph. The photo below is an enlargement of the Macaroon photograph taken at Patisserie 46. Coconut, Mango, Fruit Fruit Taste / Caramel Coffee Taste / Salt Caramel and White Chocolate Taste / Earl Gray Infused chocolate flavor. Do you not feel that you are more than a level of taste and kind of appearance? It is said that he has been very careful and sophisticated. It is not a combination that is special but tasteless.
I have not eaten a lot of macaroons, and I do not particularly like them, but the macaroon here was a classy macaroon, with a flaccid texture, a dongle dongle look, and an incomparable flavor and taste.
On the other hand, Patrick's did not want to buy it at all. The taste was lemon, strawberry, pistachio, and chocolate taste. There were many depressed or broken children in the middle.
Other things in the showcase were disappointing. Quiche, pre-baked and displayed in the refrigerator, looked like a plastic model, and other desserts seem to have fallen a little less than Patisserie 46, much more reminiscent of a Mexican bakery than a French one. The Croissants seemed a bit different from the mass-produced ones at Wal-mart.
I did not like sandwiches and salads made in the refrigerator, and some of the tarts on the shelves were broken down.
I was suddenly thinking of a place to push in kind and quantity.
I am hungry though .. what should I eat. Eggs Benedict and Small cappuccino with extra shot. While I wait, I try to take a sprinkle bottle with my blog neighbor. haha
The moment when I saw the Cappuccino that the server gave me, the disappointment and the worry were really real.
It's not a café latte, and it's like a cappuccino in a big cup like this !? The bubbles are too rough, and there is no trace of extra shot. ㅠ. ㅠ.
Cinnamon I do not like sprinkling so much.
Egg Benedict was also disappointed. The Canadian bacon was poorly cooked (a bit like a grubby fan), the English muffin on the bottom was stiff and above all, I had a hard butterspoon of Dutchise sauce. It seemed that the source was made in advance. I did not even think about having to eat hash browns lying on their sides.
This cafe was extremely crowded from early morning. My friend in Minneapolis also praised it as "Patrick's is so good! I just had lunch yesterday". At this point, I can not help thinking again how ambiguous the criteria of "delicious" and "tasteless" are. My friend introduced me to a Thai restaurant that I enjoyed, but I can not agree that Patrick's Bakery and Cafe is "so good". The one who wrote "Macarons are better at Patricks" on Yelp! What is the better standard? On the other hand, Patisserie 46 is so good on my standard that there are three out of five stars, or even one, just because of "too fancy" or "too expensive".
It is natural that opinions about restaurants are different from person to person. Because people taste different taste, favorite style, and good It is different from standard to dislike. If you are a blind spot in Internet information such as Yelp or Blog, most of the time you do not know who posted the information. So, once again, I realized that it is the reader's responsibility to read and judge these and other reviews. It is also not 100% reliable to be introduced through acquaintances. Ah. Really delicious, tasteless .. seems to be a difficult topic.
I think this Patricks' place was an American bakery with lots of good, reasonably priced and moderately French (Croissant, Baguette, Boule, and Coq au vin, and Beef Bourguignon). It was such a place that you can never call it authentic French food. The two chefs who cooked the brunch were both Mexican (as is often the case with Mexican cooks in a typical American restaurant) and the bakers seemed to be more of a fledgling employee than a techie. The coffee-making employees did not seem to be well trained. I did not know what to use for the beans. The personal difference of tasteless and delicious is natural, but I did not feel like using good materials and I cou
ld not feel that I made it with all my sincerity. Eggs Benedict had to barely half the time and fill the boat with orange juice. So the Patisserie 46 was found again the day before and he ate a very tasty tart + cake. I have to make it. I will post that later on separately ~ :)
