Kopitiam Pak Antar
Good day dear @tasteem friends around the globe. Today I would like to take you to a favourite place of mine called Kopitiam Pak Antar. Its located in Donggongon, Penampang, about 20 minutes ride from Kota Kinabalu city. This is a Halal (Serve No Pork) café. Its open daily from 6.30 am - 9.00 pm.
The café is situated at the ground floor corner lot giving it a spaces and strategic place to dine.
It's an open-spaced that equiped with ceiling fans. Just a perfect place for casual dining and doing those meet-up with friends.
Here's the Menu available in this café. Varieties of food or dishes available and all look so delicious! I and my family always come here for that delicious Ayam Penyet.
I ordered this cafe version of Chicken Chop. A golden crispy chicken topped with rich creamy mushroom sauce with a side of yellow and purple sweet potatoes and french beans. It cost Ringgit Malaysia 13.00 (USD3.17), quite cheap for a Western food in Penampang. I love the crispness of the chicken and the flavorful taste of the mushroom sauce.
My husband ordered this Ayam Penyet with variaties side vege to compliment that crispy Chicken meat. It's crispy dry on the surface but soft and tender inside. I love that fried eggplants and tempe (fermented soy bean product) served together with this dish.
This is the delicious Sambal served together with the Ayam Penyet. This Sambal gives an outstanding taste to the Ayam Penyet. It's made from fresh Chili, Tomato, Shallot, Belacan and mixed of spices. I have a 'lovehate' relationship with this Sambal..it's so spicy and at the same time delicious! Whoever tries it will comeback for more.
My daughter ordered this Coto Makasar. She kinda disappointed to see this dish. It doesn't look like the image displayed on the menu. The taste also not really up to her expectation.
For drinks, my daughter ordered this pretty in Pink Bandung Cincau. It lighten-up her mood from the disappointment of that Coto Makasar. She loved the drink.
I ordered this Tea Tarik or warm Bubble Tea less sugar.

Overall, I do think that this cafe offers a delicious and reasonable price. The place is clean, spaces and comfortable to dine-in. The service is good and quick.

The place where I usually hang out to dine with family or friends. The food is tasty and the price is quite reasonable.
Di sini juga ada kopitiam. rasanya mantap.
