Why cheating during exams should be allowed?

My fellow Steemians, the title of my post might be offending and debatable, some might not agree to what I might have written, but I hope you guys will kept an open mind while reading it through. Most of the things that I am going to write might not be appropriate or nice for others especially for teachers and students who are teaching or studying in school, college or university, but please read it through and comment if you have your own ideas or interpretations.

Who are most likely to cheat?

We all know that during our school days, each classes will surely have students that the teachers called "the stupid one" I mean not bright enough and "the smart one", and there are students who are so and so, "the intermediate", in between stupid and smart. Believe me, they are the ones who always cheated in exams and not the stupid one. You don't believe me? The stupid ones usually leaves their papers blank if they don't know the answers, but the intermediate ones will likely to write something to gain at least 1 or 2 points. They are the one who will more likely to cheat to gain as much points from the exam papers.

Why do they cheat?

These type of students has many tricks up their sleeves, things that they can think of better than "the stupid ones". They don't want to fail and become "the stupid one" and they are playing catch up with "the smart one". Do you guys agree up to this point?

It's not easy to remember everything before exam, some people has anxiety attack and are too nervous that suddenly their mind is blank out during exams, no matter how hard they have prepared. Students are taught all kinds of techniques to help them understands and memorises all sorts of informations, theories and formulas, but not all are gifted with an Einstein's or Hawking's brain. Some student's brain doesn't work that way.

The not so bright students

These students may not be good in studying and getting high marks in exams, maybe because they are good in something else, skills that others doesn't have. They may not be good in Maths, but good in Music and playing the guitar. They might not be able to be an Accountant but they will be a good Salesman. It's not the end of the world for them, it's just that they need the right guidance to reach their true potential.

Most of us might have heard this idiom before, "Don't judge a book by its cover", and true to its word, never judge a person through their academic success, but look at how they live their lives. Success in academic doesn't guarantee success for the rest of your life, one of my teacher told me "it's only a ticket that gives you options that allows you to choose your career in life". Better academic success allows you to get a better job and a better paycheque.

So what is my point?

There are times when a students has to cheat, it doesn't mean that they have planned it all the while, but just in case they need a teeny weeny help when they are really desperate. I am not saying that they should cheat, cheating is the last option when you hit a rock. People cheats all the time, even in life, so for me cheating a bit during exams is not wrong, but if you got caught doing it then its your own responsibility if being kicked out from the examination hall.

First Conclusion

As I said before, in real life people cheats all the time, so why does these students shouldn't be exempted from cheating? We all wanted to have the best in our lives, but there are limitations in terms of our abilities to do so. Maybe there is a weakness in the education structure, and it needs a bit of a tweaking. Instead of pushing students to learn everything and then being graded on how much their brain can remember is just plain foolish and unacceptable. For me at least during an exam, they should provide a bit of hint or formula for maths questions. These small details will be a great help for the students to recall what that they have studied.

I saw this meme before in my Facebook, and I wondered if the people who did this meme a millionaire themselves already? Don't laugh at the cheaters, they might be doing even better than you right now eventhough they are not a millionaire. Let me ask you something, people who always got caught because of CBT or income tax fraud are they stupid people? No, these are peoples who used to be top in their class, got a good job and lives in luxury. Why do they need to cheat now in real life and not during school. Is it a question of morality? What's the difference in morality between cheating during exams and cheating when you started to live your real life?
