What you give,you get back?

Hello steemians,

Have you heard the phrase "hands that gives also receives"?
What are your thoughts on that? I used to hear similar phrases in Bahasa Melayu such as "tangan yang memberi lebih baik dari yg menerima". The other one was "Tuhan bayar cash".

I never know the real meaning behind it. I always thought it was a good thing to give help or alms.

It was last January that I finally understand the meaning.I was attending the morning mass at the church with my family. It was time for collection. They start to pass the basket around for people to donate some money. I opened my wallet and noticed I don't have any small change. All I see was 3 pieces of rm50 notes. I wanted to give some but I had second thought. Pay day is still weeks away,my tyre has just been stolen, and I have to buy a new tyre and rim. I know it was not compulsary to donate but I still want to.I was worried but then I thought, nevermind. Its for the poor. Plus, I live with my parents,I've already settled my bills, and I dont have to buy gas for my car. So I just put in a rm50 note into the basket hoping everything will be just fine.
Few days later,my father told me that my new rim has arrived. It was rm350. It was rm50 more than the price I was told before. I pulled out some cash.As I hand it to my father,he said just give me 300. Keep the 50.

From there,I realised that hands that gives does receives. It comes in an unexpected way as well. Its like I never donated the rm50. I'm really thankful for that.

Giving alms or helping someone in need is something everyone should do even there is no reward.
The feeling of able to help someone is already satisfying.People feel good, and so will you.
