How To Cook? | Corned Beef Fried Rice with a Curry Twist

Yes, you heard me right... Today, I'm going to share with you a very simple recipe of mine to prepare a delicious and quick meal... home cooked fried rice! I know there's so many types of fried rice out there especially in Malaysia, but let me share with you my version.

Ingredients:

  1. Overnight cooked white rice (4 -5 x bowls)
  2. 1 x can of corned beef
  3. chopped garlic
  4. 3 x eggs
  5. green beans
  6. spring onions
  7. light soya sauce
  8. fish sauce
  9. white pepper powder
  10. curry powder
  11. chicken stock granules
  12. cooking oil

Step By Step

  1. Prepare all the ingredients as stated above. Chop your garlic, spring onions and green beans.
  2. The first thing you should do is fry the eggs, heat up your frying pan with 3-4 tablespoons of cooking oil and cook the eggs like how you would could scramble eggs. After that, remove the cooked eggs from the frying pan.
  3. With the same pan, heat up another 2-4 tablespoons of cooking oil and stir fry your garlic for a few seconds and add on the green beans.
  4. Add the corned beef and stir fry for a couple of seconds
  5. Then add the cooked white rice and the eggs cooked earlier
  6. Sprinkle a teaspoon of curry powder (or to taste)
  7. Add on the white pepper powder, sprinkle 1/2-teaspoon chicken stock granules
  8. Add some fish sauce and light soya sauce to taste (kindly note that fish sauce can be quite salty, so just use a little to taste first)
  9. Finally, turn off the heat and then add on the spring onion into the fried rice mix.

There you have it! Corned beef fried rice with a curry twist!

If you enjoy eating spicy food, you can add on some chopped "cili padi" to enhance your taste buds!
