Last week when walking around the city I came across these mannequins on the sidewalk, they were out for bulk trash pickup, but when I saw them my first thought was these would make for a cool photo with a title of falling apart.
Little did I know a few days later I would have a chest Infection/Bronchitis and feeling like I am falling apart.
But gives me a post for tonight.
I know the antibiotics will kick this infection and clear my chest and throat, how do I know you may ask, well that's easy I have had Pneumonia and Bronchitis a few times over the years so know the routine.
Now I couple of asked how come I am unlucky enough to get chest infections so many times, and I thought I would touch on that in this post.
I have been truly lucky to have had the opportunity to travel a lot through my job over the years, having been to over 60 Countries, now some of these countries I have been to, places many may want to visit, but quite a few were places people probably may not have on their wish list of countries to visit.
Unfortunately in some of the countries when visiting after war or conflict the conditions are not great and there is a risk of picking up things and I have had both Malaria and Tuberculosis.
I was fully treated of the TB, which was a long treatment I was on the meds for over a year and is a story on its own, but in short each morning for seven months I had a person from the health department to deliver and watch to make sure I took my medications, once the seven months were over I was so Happy to be done with the meds and the visits, but then they discovered I had a resistance to one of the meds so I was only off them for a week, before I got called in again and was back on the meds for another 6 Months.
But the end result was I was cleared of the TB, but it did a fair bit of damage to my lungs and making me more susceptible to infections.
I have been asked if I had known when I started in this work and hearing some of my stories and the dangerous situations I have bene in, would I do it again. and I have to say yes I would do it all again, sure I have been in some scary situations, and have the health issues, but I have also had so many amazing experiences that I would never give up.

Thanks for post sharing some of your story. You have hinted at it in posts since I have been following you but not talked about it directly. Nice photos today and theme @tattoodjay
Thanks Yeah I dont generally talk too much about my job and travels, not sure why I shared this in today's post lOL
100% Upvoted and resteemed by @steemimages Great photograph @tattoodjay and very appropriate for this week lol
Thanks so much truly appreciated
Haha, the way you captured it in the photo makes the pile of garbage look like a work of art!
Sorry about your chest infection! How annoying! I hope it clears up quickly for you. ♥
the way it was stacked was like art, I thought as well initially then realised it was trash
I'm surprised that no one picked them up. I know of a few mannequins in places around. Maybe the most famous is in an abandoned house in Salton City. It's been in a couple of music videos.
Great pictures, great look. Thank you!
Maybe they did after i past by I was there early morning :)
Great image and title! I'm glad to know that you are not actually falling apart, but sorry to hear about your ongoing weakness to infection! What a story, but at least it sounds like you enjoyed all your past travels!
Ohh yes I have had some amazing experiences both good and bad so I for sure cannot complain

Want to have your post on the map too?
I like the photo. The title suits it. TB and Malaria, wow! I hope you'll feel better. Were you on Malarone or Proguanil? One of my friends who had been travelling back and forth to Africa and then to Brazil got Malaria two times and TB as well. He was left too more susceptible to develop respiratory infections. A few years back he went to see a herbalist doctor to gave him and the teas/tinctures he got from him helped him boost up his lungs' immune system. I haven't heard him complaining about it after.
I did get Anti Malaria pills at one stage and there great if your travelling for short durations, but if you going there for longer time frames they can damage your liver, so many of us never took them if we were going to be in a place for a year or three,
I did try a herbalist about a decade ago, he gave me a few things to try but I really didn't see any difference, maybe I should try another one
I hope you feel better, chest ailments are the pits!
I love this photo and I'd love to come across these things if I were allowed to take some of them home. I'd definitely put these in my studio!
Yeah I was surprised they were sitting there I would expect someone to have your idea and take them home, Maybe they had just been put out and someone took them later
