Pizza On The Braai
Whenever anyone finds out that I braai every day, one of the many questions I get asked is "Don't you miss XYZ?" ... and very often that "XYZ" is pizza... well, the short answer is "No... because I can do pizza on the braai too".
Making Pizza on the Chad-o-Chef Hybrid
For this episode of BraaiBoy TV, I'm using the dome on my Hybrid to create the pizza oven effect... all you need extra is a pizza stone. I also experiment with a new "quick and easy/instant pizza base". @Therneau has a very cool recipe for pizza dough, and I promise I'll get around to trying that out in one of my episodes... one day :-)
spoiler alert: A "genuine" pizza base tastes much better, but the one I do in this recipe tastes just fine and more importantly doesn't need any time to proof. So you can prep your dough, and be ready to make pizza moments later.
OK... so I clearly don't have any Italian blood in me :-)

Indeed... I'm surprised by how many people don't know you can do pizza on a braai (barbecue)... YUMMY, Quick & Easy.
Me either... but I married into a Sicilian family... you have to learn to make marinara sauce (AKA the gravy) and pizza... it's a family thing. I believe if you can't... they'll kick you out... just kidding!

hahahaha... Pineapple on pizza vs "pineapple does not belong on pizza" is just as bad, if not worse, than the "toilet roll goes over or under" argument...
FWIW: Pineapple DOES belong on pizza, and the toilet roll comes out over the top :-)
