Instagram vs Snapchat | THE BIG DIFFERENCE

in #tech7 years ago

So, I've been using Instagram since the last 4 years. At first when Instagram was taken over by Facebook, I was actually a little disappointed. But to my surprise, it actually made it better.

To those who are not in the social space. Here's an easy explaination to these apps.

Instagram

It is a simple photo and video sharing mobile based application that is owned by Facebook. It lets you share stories (a unique concept of media sharing where the content disappears after 24 hours, and also records who has seen your content). Also another feature here is that they let you unsend messages.

Snapchat

This on the other hand is not a social media application. Many might say it is. In much simpler terms, Snapchat is a social messaging platform. This is an application similar to WhatsApp but works with usernames instead of phone numbers and also has a unique feature where the chats disappear once you leave the conversation and the other party had read the messages. It also has stories and filters and a lot more fun feature that are not yet on Instagram.

Verdict/conclusion : It is not that if you use Instagram, you cannot use Snapchat. Both the platforms might seem to be synonymous but are very different as I explained above( Instagram: Social media platform| Snapchat: Social Messaging platform)
You might want to give them a try if you already are not on them. They will surely make your day worth waking up to.

Thanksssss.
