MAGNETIC INK CHARACTER RECOGNITION

These consist of characters, which can be recognized by both machine, and human eye,which are imprinted, on documents by a device like an adding machine. The characters are printed ink , which has an iron oxides content, which is magnetized for machine's reading. This method is used mostly on cheques.
