Xpik: Universal Language

in #technology7 years ago

“Of all of our inventions for mass communication, pictures still speak the most universally understood language” - Walt Disney -

Today, there are more than 6000 languages around the world in 189 countries. A world with 7 billion people, from the which much more than half, only speaks his language native. The population is moving more and more. According to the World Tourism Organization (WTO), more than 1.1 billion tourists were mobilized in the year 2015, of which 54% did so by air, which impacts the economy generating more than 10% of the GDP of the entire planet. In these people there is a great need for communication.

In recent years new digital forms of communication have been developed that cross the barriers of the language, from basic translation of words, interpretation of sentences and texts, conversion and translation of texts captured in images to text or voice, translation of voice in time real and simultaneous translation with hearing aid. According to statistics, more than 200 million people use the Google translator daily.

These do not include other digital tools such as Word Lens, Speak and Translate, iTranslate and Skype Translator. Professional and traveler needs are the main reasons for use. The language barrier is the only barrier to communication, although pronunciations and interpretations are part of it, there are cultural barriers and idiosyncrasies that make it difficult to understand each other.

The options in the market are limited and compromise the quality of the translation, since there is a high probability of error because it is exposed to difficulties of diction, writing or cultural interpretations. All are focused on perfecting the translation of sentences and words. However, everybody have forgotten something very important and fundamental, the most primitive and easy way of communication: the image.

Xpik

An App that communicates with everyone. Translate and create images that anyone can understand and communicate. A universal language with almost immediate learning.

How does it work?

The voice generates a search for a determinant data capable of providing all possible options of images to pronounced words or phrases. Creating simple algorithms with voice commands or text, create sentences based on images. Instead of writing texts and requesting a literal translation to the other language, Xpik translates into images that make words a universal object.

I just downloaded this amazing application and it really seems to me something innovative and that in the future could become a great tool to overcome the barriers of communication.

What are you waiting for? download the beta version of Xpik, is an interesting app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xpik.xpikandroid&hl=es
