Are cameras never enough for you? Huawei is planning to place 3 of them in front

in #technology6 years ago

Galaxy A80 hybrid solution aside, for now no manufacturer has ever gone beyond the 2 front-facing cameras . Although for many a single high quality sensor is more than sufficient, there is no doubt that the presence of multiple cameras coincides with greater versatility in the type of shots that can be achieved and therefore why not think of placing 3 sensors frontally? That's what Huawei must have wondered , judging by a new patent recently come to light.

Registered with the CNIPA ( China National Intellectual Property Administration ), the patent shows a device that boasts 3 frontal cameras , housed inside a notch with not even invasive dimensions. It is not clear when Huawei filed the patent but, given the presence of a front fingerprint reader outside the display, it seems that it can be traced back to some time ago.

Now in fact, the age of the notch seems to be on its way to sunset, with producers who have understood that users prefer more discreet solutions such as drip notches , holes in the display or even pop-up cameras . So, to be able to integrate up to 3 front cameras, it is likely that you will have to wait for the next technological step , which will allow you to hide the cameras under the display .

Finally, we point out that, in the same patent, Huawei has also imagined 6 different configurations for the triple rear camera . We find vertical, horizontal solutions centered on the bodywork or off-center to the right or to the left. I wonder if the Chinese giant will try sooner or later to pass Nokia 9 PureView and its 5 rear cameras.
