Point Nemo, the place where NASA`s spacecrafts crash down to earth
Point Nemo is the most remote part on Earth. The place is located in the middle of the ocean at 2,685 kilometers from the closest land and serves as a spaceship junkyard. Hundreds of broken spacecrafts are on the bottom of the ocean.
48 degrees, 52.6 minutes south latitude and 123 degrees, 23.6 minutes west longitude, are the exact coordinates of Point Nemo. NASA calls the place in the Pacific a 'spaceship cemetery'. It is the place that is the farthest away of any form of civilization on Earth.

Tiangong-1
In 2011, China sent its first space station Tiangong-1 into a space of about 8.5 tonnes. But because China lost control over the space station in March 2016, it is expected that the vehicle will crash early next year. Where? That can not be predicted until five days before the crash, because China's control over the station has been lost. It seems unlikely that Tiangong-1 will end in Point Nemo. In a few months the spacecraft will descend at almost 300 kilometers per hour.
Between 1971 and 2016, space agencies dumped at least 260 spacecraft in the region. And that number grows in fast pace.
When a large object like the Tiangong-1 flies through the atmosphere, it will break into several pieces. The station will therefore crash over a surface of several kilometers, which will increase the risk of victims. Fortunately, the chance of being hit by space waste is extremely small.
There is only one case known of a woman who was hit on the shoulder.
4,000 satellites
Wouldn`t it be better to leave space waste flaoting around earth, you might wonder. Apparently not, because right now, about 4,000 satellites are floating around orbit around the Earth. Add the uncontrolled projectiles and you will soon find some tens of thousands of objects. The chance of collisions is thus increased.
