Wearable Technology in 2017
As we progress forward we will see more and more different wearable technologies. Sure where we are now with this technology, we mostly see Smartwatches, Fitness trackers as well as Virtual and Augmented Reality wearable glasses.
This is however only the start of a massive new industry and there is exciting times ahead. Today's post is to highlight some of the existing technologies and also to have the ability to look back in 10 or 20 years and see what was available at this stage.
Smart Watches and Fitness Trackers.
I have been wearing my I-watch Series 2 for quite some time and it was exciting in the beginning, but I get bored very quickly. I find myself forgetting to but it on these days more times that I actually don't. It is nice tech from a fitness and a business perspective as it tracks your fitness progress and always remind you of meetings, urgent messages and so on. Another nice feature for me is that it assists when you drive with Navigation.
Smart Shoes
It has not really taken off, but Smart Shoes is in my opinion something that will take off quite rapidly. Not only can you track distance and some fitness stuff, but just think if you have golf shoes which can analyse your golf game. I will definitely get some of those.
Smart Rings
Smart jewellery has been around quite some time and all that we need is for one of the bigger brands to put something on their fashion range. In my opinion this can really take off with the right backers.
Smart Tattoos or temp tattoos
Whatever you want to call these they are something just waiting to take off. Microsoft Research and MIT Media lab have been working on solutions. Wearable tech can soon become invisible to us. Just think if you have a NFC tattoo as in the picture below.
And what if you can have a tattoo which can measure your alcohol levels.

And here is a facial expression temp tattoo.
as we enter the era of internet of things (IOT) this will be common, we are already wearing a few of this tech from wearable gear that tracks our heart beat to health monitors, next we are begining to weave them into our clothes, Adidas recently a smart t-shirt that track your organs as you train, where we go from here is upto us.
lol.. someday we will be half human and half machines.. i wonder if there will be any sort of work left that we will be able to do without machine completely :D
We can use machines for the repetitive and boring work! Then we have more time to enjoy life!
yes thats true.. but thats what we call the pisitive use of them.. they are more used for negative work too.. :/
What are you referring to when you say negative use?
well there are many things to be counted
one of them for example is the uncreasing level of obesity in this world
it is the machines which makes our work easy but make us lazy at the same time
That's true, I think it's more a problem of educating people on how to use the technology.
yep..
I think these thing are harmful for us may be ..
In my experience, everything that seems great at first ends up having a downside that was not immediately obvious.
Wearables is a disappointment across the board. None of the makers of these technologies experienced anything close to what they are expecting. FitBit is probably the most successful. Apple brought out the IWatch with great expectations yet that has under performed.
Ultimately, we will be wearing the computers we just need to transition away from screens. In the future, we will be using holograms or some technology like that.
