Ikea Pokemon Goes To Yoville - Ikea Adapts Augmented Reality For Their Furniture Shopping App
Ever want to buy some new furniture but you are fearful that when you get it home the color of your new chair will clash with the draperies or the sofa is too big and covers part of the door to the kitchen or the the carpet may look just all wrong with your new Leather love seat?

Well Steemians, Ikea has taken a page from Pokemon Go and the Facebook game YoVille by adding augmented reality to your furniture shopping experience. You no longer have to worry if your non-refundable purchase is going to be a catastrophe when you get it home.

The best part is you don't have to leave your home to check out the way the new furniture is going to look in your home. As a matter of fact you have to be at home to use the new app. I must say this is a brilliant adaptation and I have to give them kudos for jumping in like this. Check out the youtube ad I came across today that inspired this post.
I am thrilled to see technology being used this way. This app may be buggy or have some issues but I can say this as a capitalist, this is how I like to see new tech adapted to the free market.

If you post about IKEA you are sure to get my upvote :) I also think this app is really a great way for them to embrace new technology and allowing the customer to benefit from it. tip! 0.1
I saw this and was really wowed by it. Nice thing is you don't need any thing other than your smartphone no goofy googles or face shield.
It really is very convenient and a fun way to figure out how you would want your home decoration to look :) I come from the town where IKEA originates from. So IKEA is definitely almost a daily topic there hehe.
