Pune (Daily Pakistan Online) A successful laparoscopic gastroenterology operation has been performed on an obese dog in the Indian state of Maharashtra.

According to Indian media, the Labrador dog has undergone surgery in Pune. The dog weighed 50kg and had difficulty breathing and walking.

The dog's owner says he brought the dog home five years ago. At first, he used to play and jump in and around the house, but later he started breathing. Doctors were taking medicine of Rs 10,000 per month but there was no significant difference after which it was found out on social media that dogs also undergo weight loss surgery.

According to Dr. Narendra Pardeshi, who operated on the dog, after the dog's surgery, he was given chicken soup for a week, which reduced his weight by five kilograms. The dogs should have weighed 18 to 20 kg, but the dog weighed 50 kg, which reduced its life to six years.
