A Canadian startup named Lyrebird claims that it is able to clone any voice by using just one minute of sample audio. They are not the only ones developing such a product. Adobe is also currently creating a similar tool which they presented at the Adobe Max Conference last year and Google's DeepMind AI has produced incredible sounding machine speech.

Lyrebird, is now in public beta and you can try it for yourself by uploading a one minute sample of your voice.

I must say, I'm quite amazed at the giant leaps this technology has made over the recent years. Of course you can still distinguish the results from human speech. But in a couple of years you won't be able to hear the difference anymore.

What are your thoughts on this technology?
