I wonder if Zamzar can also reach back into the past to convert obsolete file formats into other formats. It would mean a lot for a lot of data that is otherwise as good as lost.

Hmm, hadn't thought of that. I think I still have some basic computer guides that would be as useful now as they were when I wrote them 30-odd years ago.
Not sure though, but I guess most probably not.

Would be great to see data revitalized in compatible and more future-proofed formats.
Would it be profitable? I have no idea - but I'd be surprised if nobody used it to recover data from old diskettes, tapes, cartridge, CDs and hard-drives.
That can be a great project to work on. But for that you need to get as much as data to see if it can be profitable or not.
