It is speculated that about 800 million jobs will be lost globally to robots by 2030. A study done by the McKinsey Global Institute in 46 countries revealed that about a fifth of the global workforce will surely take the beat.

In the very developed countries like the US and Germany, over 33% of the workforce would have to retrain in order to retain their jobs.

The report states that machine operators and purveyors would experience the hardest hit.

McKinsey, in the report, also states that the poor and under developed nations that may very unlikely invest in this revolution would not be that much affected.

A lot of employment positions are actually vulnerable to this great shift; Accountants, brokers on mortgage, paralegals, to mention but a few.

Positions that require much more human interactions are at a much lesser risk anyway. These involves the likes of bartenders, lawyers, and doctors.

Again, in advanced countries,, there would be a higher need for College education, as the jobs that accommodate the less educated would soon die off.

Just in the US, between 39 and 70 million jobs will crash by 2030, and just about 30% of them would be able to find jobs elsewhere with their same qualifications; as reported by McKinsey.

The report also predicts that about 20% of jobs will fall through the automation sweep in the UK. The question at hand now for everyone is how long it would take for your current job to be automated and hence, leave you jobless?

This anticipated revolution we look forward to, can best be likened to the industrial revolution that took place in the early 1900s.

Nonetheless, this new era would definitely come with its own job openings for qualified personnel, just like the the advent of the personal computer birthed the technology support work, as well as online businesses.

This lays the mandate on us all to get ourselves acquainted with the Information Technology Industry and find out how best we can all fit in as a people.

I think Governments also have a role to play in putting forward actions to get their citizens equipped ahead of time.

Thanks for the update ..soar high and SteemOn ...

hahaa you are right anyway. In places where this has began, people have been rendered jobless already

So we all have to get ready. Possibly AI presidents will come too. In reply to:

I believe there are sites that give free medical and legal advice. So probably, the only way will be to specialize in a particular field.

all though a lot of jobs may be lost, it would open lots of great opportunities and more self employment jobs. I agree with you on that

Its going to be a whole new level

I like how you concluded the post:
