Telegram ICO that never happened - Is it due to the fund Abundance or due to the government regulation from Iran and Russia
Telegram cancels its ICO. Telegram was the much anticipated ICO of this year. It was going to be the largest ICO ever. Unfortunatly, Telegram cancels its launching of ICO. Recently, Telegram has to face a lot of adversaries from big government organization. Iran already banned Telegram. Iran authority accusing Telegram is the threat to national security.
Moreover, Iran launch thier own form of secrete messaging apps. Telegram's biggest feature its privacy and security. That's it is the best secrete messaging apps till now. Russia also joins the ban party with Iran. Though this tough opponent, Telegram is going strong. Some believed that due to ban, Telegram popularity is increasing than even before.
Telegram was supposed to launch its Cryptocurrency platform this year. Unfortunately, It is not going to happen. Telegram already raised $1.7 billion dollar in a secrete private fundrasing ceremony. Telegram was funded by top instituion and biggest investors. It is believed that 81 accredited investors taking part in the first ICO round and 84 in the second. Source
