When is it ok to punch a live-streamer?
I think one of the answers that we'll get here is "never" but I don't think that is necessarily correct. I think that live-streamers are a real pain in the ass and are getting far too common where I live. It seems like all the time some clown is walking down the street, barely paying attention to where they are going or who they inconvenience and hoping that somehow this is going to result in some sort of internet fame for them and therefore perhaps riches.
I understand that this is a very competitive industry and in order to stand out you sometimes need to do unusual things. But here's the thing: Walking down the street in Thailand and narrating your steps through the market is not content, it isn't even unusual. What it is is a pain in the ass for everyone else. Then we have the question of you not having permission to film or photograph all the people that are around and a lot of people do not want to be part of your online collection, myself included.

There was an incident recently in Thailand where a Korean man was walking down the street, in the middle of the street mind you, when a Chinese man started taunting him and making threatening gestures towards him and eventually this resulted in fisticuffs. It wasn't much of a fight but it turned into something worse as the neighboring bars joined in on attacking both of them. The violence just spread like wildfire to people that had nothing to do with it.
Girly bars, the ones like the ones he was near, are notorious for not wanting pictures taken because what they are doing there is technically illegal. perhaps that was why they decided to join in. I don't know.
But the fact remains that I think that punching nuisance-streamers should be allowed. As more and more people seem to think that the world is their movie studios and all of us are actors and actresses in the story of their life, I feel like there should be some retribution. I hate it when people include me in their videos and recently I was hanging out with a friend at a cafe and a live-streamer interrupted out conversation to "interview" us. My friend hates this sort of thing even more than I do so he responded to the guy that he was going to take his phone and throw it in the nearby canal if he didn't fuck off. Thankfully it didn't escalate beyond that but if it had it wouldn't have lasted very long since my friend is a 6 foor 2, 190 lb Muay Thai instructor.
