The Diary Game: Reporting Back To My State Of Primary Assignment (NYSC)(06/05/2026).
Today being 6th of may 2026, happens to be the day I chased to report back to my state of primary assignment (NYSC).if you've ever served or you have an older siblings that has served before you will definitely know what I'm saying. I woke up earlier today , I did the dishes and took my bath and I took keke down to the park(WADA PARK) in kogi state. I got to the park a little bit early though and I paid for the transportation fee. We didn't start the journey on time I was sooo tired and weak at the same time.
At this moment, I was sooo tired ,I couldn't even sleep I was sooo eager to get to plateau state,you know how transportation used to be in Nigeria,even after paying a huge amount you will be squeezed like sardines in a can.the journey was really rough for me.
While I was bored , I told myself that next time I won't travel by road again,so I won't suffer and go through the same stress I was passing through at that moment. People started gisting and I couldn't because I was super tired and weak to say anything,I leaned back on my chair and I kept looking at the trees, nature is really beautiful I most say,at a moment I felt like it was heaven on earth.
It's evening already and we are getting closer to our destination,I was a little bit happy within because I knew I get to rest from the stress and I will shower,get something to eat for dinner and climb my bed and sleep,oh yes you heard me climb my bed,I stay in the lodge,so my bed is up it's not easy though. Because I was happy I wasn't bothered about the journey again,all I wanted was to get home fast and rest from the stress and everything. I got to my lodge sooner than I expect,I guess I walked so fast because I was exhausted from everything,I go to my room ,my roommate welcomed me and she served me food to eat,I ate it so fast like a hungry child, I wasn't satisfied,I took bread and akara to keep me filled, and I proceed to the bathroom to take my bathe. There wasn't light in the bathroom so I asked my roommate to give me hers and she took it from the wall and handed it over to me,I was so happy cause I don't want to bathe in the dark.
After taking my bed, I cleaned my body and creamed it and I applied perfume on my body and my clothes, yes yes you heard me, I applied perfume I do this everyday before going to bed,well to me the reason why I do apply perfume before going to bed is ,to help me smell nice in my sleep,weird right?? And also to to help me smell nice the next morning in case of emergency, I love perfumes so much. While I was on my bed ,my dad called to ask me about the journey and I told him I got to plateau safely and right now I'm on my bed about to sleep we talked for a while and he hung up. And before then I took this photo of my bags and my Christmas hat.my dad got the hat for me 10yrs ago. I can't believe I still have it and I love it so much
I prayed and thank God for journey mercies and I also prayed for those on the way too I thanked God for my families and friends and I thanked him for using my roommate to feed me this evening.and I chatted with my friends on WhatsApp, after chatting I will sleep so I can go to work tomorrow .
